HOW TO CORRECTLY TRANSFER STENCILS ONTO THE WALL

To transfer the stencil cleanly to the wall you need to:

      1. Use dense stencil paper.

      Dense stencils easier and faster to apply. The life of a dense stencils is longer.

          1. Использовать плотную бумагу для трафаретов.

          Плотные трафареты проще и быстрее наносить. Срок жизни плотных трафаретов больше.
          2. Use quality paint.

          Do not use Chinese, runny spray paint.
          I use: Montana and MTN94.
              2. Использовать качественную краску.

              Не используйте китайскую, жидкую аэрозольная краску.
              Я использую: Montana, MTN94 и Артон.
              3. Avoid painting in the winter, in the rain and wind.

              In winter most of the brands paint will spit and because of the cold, your hands (especially palms) will perform poorly.

              Because of the rain, the stencil softens, and the paint runs down on wet wall.

              The wind can tear stencil and blows the paint under it.

                  Зимой краска плюётся у большинства производителей, а из-за холода начинаешь плохо контролировать руки.

                  4. Use masking tape.

                  Fix stencil around the perimeter with paper tape.

                  This will prevent the stencil from moving.

                      Приклеивайте трафарет по периметру бумажным скотчем. Это предотвратит смещение трафарета.
                      5. Hold stencil.

                      Press the stencil firmly against the wall so that the paint does not over spray under it.

                          6. Do not use fat caps.

                          Fat caps allow high pressure to dusts paint under the stencil. Therefore, use skinny caps

                          Fat and skinny are names of aerosol can nozzles. Fat gives a thick line (about 20 cm), and skinny gives a thin line (1-2 cm).

                              7. Take your time.

                              Rushing will negatively affects the quality of the work.

                                  8. Save paint.

                                  To keep the paint from running down, apply thin layers. It is better to apply few thin layers with intermediate drying than to fill everything with one thick layer.
                                      8. Экономьте краску.

                                      Чтобы краска не затекла наносите краску тонким слоем. Лучше после высыхания пройтись второй раз, чем залить все жирным слоем.
